Instructions

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  4. Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Pour the recommended amount of batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
  6. For the berry compote, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine the mixed berries, sugar, and lemon juice.
