These moist and delicious Tres Leches Cupcakes are soaked in a sweet milk mixture and topped with a fluffy cinnamon cream for a perfect dessert.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the whole milk. Mix until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and ground cinnamon.
- Once the cupcakes are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before poking holes all over the tops with a toothpick.
- Pour the milk mixture over the warm cupcakes, allowing it to soak in. Let them cool completely.
- For the cinnamon cream, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Top each cupcake with a generous dollop of cinnamon cream. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, let the soaked cupcakes sit in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
- You can add more cinnamon to the cream for a stronger flavor if desired.
