Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. If baking, place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
  7. Remove from grill and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
