- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 2/3 cup water
- 8 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Sour cream and salsa for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the beef mixture simmers, prepare taco shells according to package instructions.
- Once the beef mixture is ready, spoon it into the taco shells.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
- Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
