Ingredients

- 6 cups water
- 6 black tea bags
- 1 to 1.5 cups granulated sugar (to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Allow to steep for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm, mixing until fully dissolved.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sweet tea over the ice.
- Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sugar based on your sweetness preference.
- For a flavored twist, add a few sprigs of fresh mint to the tea while it steeps.
