Description

This refreshing Summer Berry Sangria is perfect for warm days, featuring a blend of fresh berries and a hint of citrus. It’s a delightful drink to share with friends at summer gatherings or barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle of dry white wine (750 ml), chilled
  • 1 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries), fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup of orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 1/4 cup of brandy
  • 1 cup of orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 cup of club soda or lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, mixed berries, orange liqueur, brandy, and orange juice.
  2. Stir gently to mix the ingredients.
  3. Add the sliced lemon and lime to the pitcher.
  4. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Just before serving, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda to the pitcher and stir gently.
  6. Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the fruit based on your preferences or seasonal availability.
  • For a sweeter sangria, add a tablespoon of sugar or simple syrup to taste.
  • This sangria can be made a day ahead; just add the soda right before serving to keep it fizzy.
