Description
Learn how to make a perfectly cooked steak in the air fryer. This recipe results in a juicy, flavorful steak with a crispy exterior, all in under 15 minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut, about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Rub olive oil all over the steaks, then season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika if using.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not touching for even cooking.
- Cook the steaks in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust the time according to your desired doneness (use a meat thermometer for accuracy: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
- Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use steaks that are at room temperature before cooking.
- Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of your steaks and your air fryer model.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasonings or marinades for added flavor.
