Instructions

  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  7. Fill cupcake liners with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  8. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
  9. For the buttercream, beat together softened butter and powdered sugar.
  10. Add milk, vanilla extract, and green food coloring to achieve desired color.
  11. Frost the cooled cupcakes with green buttercream.
