Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Add green food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add green food coloring to match the cupcakes.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with the green frosting and sprinkle with edible gold sprinkles for decoration.
