- 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the gochujang, soy sauce, and honey (or maple syrup). Cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring to combine.
- Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang based on your spice preference.
- For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
- Feel free to add vegetables such as spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
