  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A deliciously spicy and creamy pasta dish that combines the rich flavors of gochujang and butter for a unique twist on traditional pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the gochujang, soy sauce, and honey (or maple syrup). Cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang based on your spice preference.
  • For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
  • Feel free to add vegetables such as spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
