Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 liter lemon-lime soda (chilled)
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. Once cooled, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the raspberry seeds. You should have a raspberry syrup.
  3. In a large punch bowl, combine the raspberry syrup, cranberry juice, and remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well.
  4. Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda to add fizz.
  5. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

  • For a more intense raspberry flavor, let the syrup cool overnight in the refrigerator before using.
  • This punch can be made ahead of time, just add the soda just before serving to keep it fizzy.
