A classic Italian-American dish featuring tender meatballs served over spaghetti in a rich marinara sauce.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- Extra Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Serve the meatballs and sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative to beef.
- Feel free to add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce for extra heat.
- For a more flavorful sauce, simmer with herbs like oregano and thyme.
