A deliciously rich and smoky twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring tender smoked brisket and gooey cheese.

- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 4 ounces smoked brisket, sliced
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise together.
- Spread the mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the uncoated side of two slices, layer the smoked brisket and cheddar cheese.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, coated side facing out.
- Spread softened butter on the outside of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches in the preheated skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet.
- Slice in half and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to use different types of cheese for a unique flavor.
- You can add sautéed onions or jalapeños for extra flavor.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of pickles.
