  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These delightful cake pops are the perfect treat to celebrate your graduation. With a rich cake center and a smooth chocolate coating, they are not only delicious but also visually stunning — ideal for any graduation party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (16 oz) frosting (any flavor)
  • 1 lb chocolate candy melts (in your choice of color)
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles or edible decorations (optional)
  • Wax paper or a cake pop stand

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the cake mix package instructions. Prepare a baking pan as directed.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions. Once baked, let it cool completely.
  4. Once the cake is cool, crumble it into a large bowl. Add the frosting and mix until well combined.
  5. Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a wax paper-lined tray.
  6. Once all the balls are rolled, freeze them for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  7. Melt the chocolate candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  8. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it halfway into a cake ball. This helps to secure the stick.
  9. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  10. If desired, decorate with sprinkles or edible decorations while the chocolate is still wet.
  11. Place the finished cake pops upright in a cake pop stand or on wax paper to set.
  12. Let the chocolate harden completely before serving.

Notes

  • For a fun theme, use colored candy melts that match your school colors.
  • Store cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • You can add flavor extracts to the frosting for a unique twist.
