  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These delicious sesame ginger edamame dumplings are a perfect vegetarian appetizer or snack, packed with flavor and easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup shelled edamame (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • Soy sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shelled edamame, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds. Mix well.
  2. Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal. You can also crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  3. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. To cook the dumplings, you can either steam them for about 10 minutes or pan-fry them in a little oil until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Serve the dumplings warm with soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can customize the filling by adding other vegetables like carrots or mushrooms.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a dash of chili oil or fresh herbs to the filling.
  • Dumplings can be frozen before cooking. Just steam or fry them directly from the freezer, adding a couple of extra minutes to the cooking time.
