Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup shelled edamame (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 package dumpling wrappers
- Soy sauce for dipping
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the shelled edamame, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds. Mix well.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal. You can also crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- To cook the dumplings, you can either steam them for about 10 minutes or pan-fry them in a little oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve the dumplings warm with soy sauce for dipping.
Notes
- You can customize the filling by adding other vegetables like carrots or mushrooms.
- For added flavor, consider adding a dash of chili oil or fresh herbs to the filling.
- Dumplings can be frozen before cooking. Just steam or fry them directly from the freezer, adding a couple of extra minutes to the cooking time.
