Ingredients

  • 200g mixed seafood (shrimp, squid, and fish balls)
  • 100g seblak crackers (or kerupuk)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, sliced
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Soak the seblak crackers in warm water for about 10 minutes until they soften. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, sliced shallots, and red chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the mixed seafood to the skillet and cook until they are just cooked through.
  4. Stir in the sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Add the softened seblak crackers and water. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well-coated and heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
  7. Serve hot with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer chilies.
  • Feel free to use any seafood of your choice.
