- 1 pound sausage
- 12 large mushrooms
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add the chopped mushroom stems to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage, mushroom stems, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the sausage mixture.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
