These ricotta stuffed shells are filled with creamy ricotta and smothered in a delicious vodka sauce, making for a perfect comforting dish.

- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups vodka sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread 1 cup of vodka sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta mixture and place them in the baking dish on top of the sauce.
- Pour the remaining vodka sauce over the stuffed shells.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- You can make the vodka sauce from scratch or use a store-bought version for convenience.
- Feel free to add cooked ground meat or sautéed vegetables to the ricotta filling for added flavor.
- These stuffed shells can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.
