- 1 package (8 oz) of crescent roll dough
- 8 small hot dogs or cocktail sausages
- 1 tablespoon of mustard (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a small hot dog at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the hot dog up in the dough, starting from the wide end.
- Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with mustard or ketchup for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, try using jalapeño or cheese-filled sausages.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if cooking from frozen.
