Ingredients
Scale
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in the pecan halves until evenly distributed.
- Pour the pecan mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown. You can cover the edges of the crust with foil if they brown too quickly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can toast the pecans before adding them to the filling.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
