Description

A classic pecan pie recipe with a rich filling and a flaky crust, perfect for any holiday or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Stir in the pecan halves until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the pecan mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown. You can cover the edges of the crust with foil if they brown too quickly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can toast the pecans before adding them to the filling.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
