A delicious, classic peach cobbler made with fresh peaches, a buttery crust, and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for any dessert lover.

- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the peaches evenly, then set aside.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter without stirring.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the peach mixture.
- This cobbler can also be made with frozen peaches; just thaw and drain them before using.
