  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup banana slices
  • 1 cup watermelon, cut into star shapes
  • 1 cup pineapple, cut into chunks
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Prepare all the fruit by washing and cutting them into the appropriate sizes.
  2. Take a wooden skewer and begin to layer the fruit in a pattern. Start with a strawberry, followed by a blueberry, then a banana slice, and repeat until the skewer is filled.
  3. For a more patriotic look, alternate the fruit colors: red (strawberries), blue (blueberries), and white/yellow (bananas and pineapple).
  4. For an added festive touch, use star-shaped cookie cutters to cut watermelon into star shapes and alternate with the other fruits on the skewers.
