- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup banana slices
- 1 cup watermelon, cut into star shapes
- 1 cup pineapple, cut into chunks
- Wooden skewers
Instructions
- Prepare all the fruit by washing and cutting them into the appropriate sizes.
- Take a wooden skewer and begin to layer the fruit in a pattern. Start with a strawberry, followed by a blueberry, then a banana slice, and repeat until the skewer is filled.
- For a more patriotic look, alternate the fruit colors: red (strawberries), blue (blueberries), and white/yellow (bananas and pineapple).
- For an added festive touch, use star-shaped cookie cutters to cut watermelon into star shapes and alternate with the other fruits on the skewers.
- Once all the skewers are assembled, serve them immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute any of the fruits with your favorites or what’s in season.
