Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
