- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
