A delicious and easy-to-make breakfast casserole using buttery croissants, eggs, and cheese, perfect for brunch or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup diced ham or cooked bacon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Spread the torn croissant pieces evenly in the baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant pieces, ensuring they are well soaked.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and diced ham or bacon evenly on top.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours) to allow the croissants to soak up the egg mixture.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Remove the casserole from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
