- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour buttermilk into another bowl.
- Dip each onion ring first into the buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, and finally roll in breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
