Ingredients

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Butter, softened
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 3 Eggs
- 3 cups Powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream (for frosting)
- 1 cup Fresh berries (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add softened butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs. Beat on medium speed until well blended.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat the powdered sugar and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy.
- Once the cakes are cool, spread frosting between the layers and over the top and sides of the cake.
- Decorate with fresh berries on top. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- You can use different flavors of extracts, like almond or lemon, for a unique taste.
- For a chocolate version, substitute 1/2 cup of flour with cocoa powder.
- Add sprinkles or edible flowers for extra decoration!
