- 2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, paprika, oregano, and salt until well combined.
- Place the chicken in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure all pieces are well coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding the remaining marinade.
- If grilling, cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). If baking, place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

- For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary to the marinade.
