A classic New England lobster roll recipe featuring tender lobster meat, lightly dressed with mayonnaise, and served in a buttery toasted bun.

- 1 1/2 pounds cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 split-top hot dog buns
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Lettuce leaves for serving
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the split-top buns, cut side down, and toast until golden brown.
- Remove the buns from the skillet and fill each with a generous amount of the lobster mixture.
- Place a lettuce leaf in each bun, then serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a dash of Old Bay seasoning to the lobster mixture.
- If you prefer a more traditional approach, use a little bit of celery for added crunch.
