- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon key lime zest

- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.

- Add fresh key lime juice and zest, and mix until well combined.
- Pour the lime filling into the cooled pie crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until fully chilled.
- Before serving, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled pie, and garnish with lime slices if desired.
Notes
- For best flavor, use fresh key limes if available.
- Make ahead: Key Lime Pie can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- To prevent the crust from getting soggy, avoid overfilling with the lime mixture.
