  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Deliciously spicy jalapeño peppers stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar, then baked to perfection. Perfect for parties or game day snacks!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, pressing it in firmly.
  5. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
  6. Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your jalapeño poppers!

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by leaving some seeds in the jalapeños or using milder peppers.
  • You can also add cooked bacon bits to the cheese mixture for extra flavor.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
