- 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, pressing it in firmly.
- If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for added crunch.
- Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your jalapeño poppers!
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by leaving some seeds in the jalapeños or using milder peppers.
- You can also add cooked bacon bits to the cheese mixture for extra flavor.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
