Ingredients

- 2 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and any optional seasonings until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the sweet potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s okay if they overlap slightly, but avoid overcrowding.
- Cook the fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
- Check for doneness at the 15-minute mark; they should be golden brown and crispy. If necessary, cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking, then dry thoroughly.
