Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Honey Garlic Salmon, featuring a sweet and savory glaze that caramelizes beautifully during cooking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the honey garlic mixture over them. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, up to 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and reserve the marinade for later.
- If grilling, place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, then brush with the reserved marinade and flip. Cook for an additional 4-6 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- If baking, place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a lined baking sheet. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, brushing with the reserved marinade halfway through.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
