- 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Optional seasonings (e.g., paprika, garlic powder, onion powder)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil and salt until evenly coated. Add any optional seasonings if desired.
- Spread the potato slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure they are not overlapping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your homemade potato chips!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes before drying and baking.
- You can also fry the potato slices in hot oil for a traditional method.
