- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

- for decorating Food coloring (pink, black, yellow)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use a Hello Kitty cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
- Place the cut-out cookies on the prepared baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating with royal icing.
- Use food coloring to create Hello Kitty’s face, graduation cap, and other details.

- Make sure to chill the dough for easier handling.
- You can use a piping bag for more intricate designs with royal icing.
