Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Hawaiian BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can pineapple slices, drained
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine Hawaiian BBQ sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- During the last few minutes of grilling, add pineapple slices to the grill and cook until they are charred and caramelized.
- Serve the grilled chicken topped with grilled pineapple and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the chicken in a skillet or bake it in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
