  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

This Hawaiian BBQ Chicken recipe is bursting with tropical flavors and a hint of smokiness that makes it perfect for summer grilling or any family gathering. Marinated in a sweet and tangy sauce, this dish is quick and easy to prepare, making it a favorite for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Hawaiian BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can pineapple slices, drained
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine Hawaiian BBQ sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. During the last few minutes of grilling, add pineapple slices to the grill and cook until they are charred and caramelized.
  6. Serve the grilled chicken topped with grilled pineapple and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the chicken in a skillet or bake it in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
