- 1 pound ground lamb
- 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, harissa paste, breadcrumbs, parsley, grated onion, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned on the outside.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the yogurt sauce by combining plain yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.
- Once the meatballs are done, serve them warm with a drizzle of yogurt sauce and garnish with fresh mint.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the amount of harissa paste according to your spice preference.
- These meatballs can also be served with pita bread or over rice for a complete meal.
