Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 6-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice the cake into two layers. Spread a layer of buttercream frosting between the layers and on the top of the cake.
- Decorate with fresh fruits and edible flowers for a beautiful presentation.
