Description

Celebrate graduation with these fun and festive cake pops that resemble graduation caps! Perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting
  • 12 ounces chocolate candy melts
  • Black candy or chocolate for the tassels
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Styrofoam block for displaying cake pops

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions and prepare a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake according to package instructions. Let it cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl and add the buttercream frosting. Mix until well combined.
  5. Form small balls of the cake mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Freeze for about 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate candy melts according to package instructions.
  7. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball. This helps to hold the stick in place.
  8. Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off, and place them in the Styrofoam block to set.
  9. Once the chocolate is set, use melted black candy or chocolate to create the graduation cap tassels on top of each pop.
  10. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize the colors of the chocolate candy melts to match the school’s colors.
