Description
Cooking steak from frozen in an air fryer is a quick and easy way to enjoy a delicious meal without the need to thaw ahead of time. The air fryer delivers a juicy steak with a crispy exterior.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 frozen steaks (1-inch thick, any cut you prefer)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil (optional)
- Garlic powder (optional)
- Onion powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, season the frozen steaks with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you prefer. You can rub a little olive oil on them if desired.
- Place the frozen steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not overlapping.
- Cook the steaks at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes for medium-rare, flipping them halfway through. Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your steak more or less done.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 150°F (65°C) for medium-well.
- Once done, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the steak and the model of your air fryer.
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure your steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasonings and marinades.
