- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 pound blueberries
- 1 pound raspberries
- 1 store-bought pound cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add one-third of the whipped cream on top of the cake layer.
- Layer half of the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries over the whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, whipped cream, and berries.
- Finish the trifle with a final layer of whipped cream and garnish with mint leaves, if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- You can use any combination of berries you prefer.
- For added flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice to the berries before layering.
