Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 pound blueberries
  • 1 pound raspberries
  • 1 store-bought pound cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  2. In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Add one-third of the whipped cream on top of the cake layer.
  4. Layer half of the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries over the whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, whipped cream, and berries.
  6. Finish the trifle with a final layer of whipped cream and garnish with mint leaves, if desired.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • You can use any combination of berries you prefer.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice to the berries before layering.
