  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
  4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the flour, vanilla extract, and salt until the batter is smooth.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  7. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate.
