- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until combined.
- Gently fold in the flour, vanilla extract, and salt until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
- Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
