- 2 Filet Mignon steaks (1.5 inches thick)

- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 4 tablespoons Butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme (chopped)
- 1 clove Garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.
- While the steaks are in the oven, prepare the herb butter by mixing the softened butter, parsley, thyme, and minced garlic in a bowl until well combined.
- Once the steaks are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Top each steak with a generous dollop of the herb butter before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use high-quality filet mignon.
- Feel free to customize the herb butter with your favorite herbs or add a splash of lemon juice for brightness.
