- 3 large Eggs
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until just simmering. Remove from heat and gradually whisk the hot milk into the egg mixture.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour the mixture into custard cups or ramekins.
- Place the cups in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water to create a water bath.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the custards are set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let cool. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
