- 1 package of puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup of pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup of black olives, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut them into spooky shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place a small amount of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on one half of each shape. Sprinkle with dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Fold the other half of the shape over the filling and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
- Place the appetizers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with sliced black olives to create spooky eyes.
