- 2 Burger buns (Toasted.)
- 2 leaves Lettuce (Optional, for crunch.)
- 1 sliced Tomato (Optional, for freshness.)
- 4 slices Pickles (Optional, for tanginess.)

Instructions
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions (about 4 ounces each).
- Season each portion with salt and black pepper.
- Place two portions of beef onto the hot skillet, pressing down firmly with a spatula to smash them flat.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip and immediately place a slice of cheese on each patty.
- Cook for another minute until the cheese melts.
- Remove the patties and set aside. Repeat with the remaining beef portions.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the toasted buns, adding lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired.
