Description

These crispy cheddar hash brown waffles are the perfect breakfast or brunch dish! Golden brown and deliciously cheesy, they make a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil, for the waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions and spray it lightly with cooking spray or brush with oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, cheddar cheese, green onions, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Scoop about 1/2 cup of the potato mixture into the preheated waffle iron, spreading it out evenly. Close the lid and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining potato mixture.
  5. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, additional green onions, or hot sauce.
