Crispy Air Fryer Baked Potatoes: 3 Steps to Irresistible Perfection

  • Author: ushinzomr

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Sour cream, chives, or your favorite toppings for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt.
  3. Pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. Pierce each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  5. In a mixing bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  6. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Cook the potatoes for 35-40 minutes, or until they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
  8. Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes.
  9. Cut a slit in the top of each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.
  10. Serve with sour cream, chives, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, you can increase the cooking time by a few minutes.
  • Feel free to customize the seasoning to your taste.
  • Leftover baked potatoes can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the air fryer.
