Ingredients

  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, bell pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, and beaten egg.
  2. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook crab cakes in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
