Deliciously crispy crab cakes packed with flavor, perfect for a starter or main course.

- 1 lb lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, onion, bell pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, black pepper, and beaten egg.
- Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook crab cakes in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
