Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, making sure to coat both sides evenly.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover with another piece of foil to keep them moist.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Remove ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce caramelizes.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, consider using a smoker or grilling the ribs after baking.
- You can marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight for enhanced flavor.
