  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These tender and flavorful BBQ pork ribs are perfect for any gathering or family dinner. Coated in a homemade BBQ sauce, they are slow-cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, making sure to coat both sides evenly.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover with another piece of foil to keep them moist.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
  7. Remove ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
  8. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce caramelizes.
  9. Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, consider using a smoker or grilling the ribs after baking.
  • You can marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight for enhanced flavor.
