- 1 small head green cabbage, shredded
- 2 large carrots, grated
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and sliced red onion.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until the vegetables are evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled as a side dish.
Notes
- For added crunch, you can mix in some chopped green bell pepper or radishes.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the dressing.
- This coleslaw can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
